The site of this year's Bowhunter 3-D Challenge, to be held on August 16 & 17, 2008!

Rules

All participants may shoot at this year's Bowhunter 3-D Challenge at the 2008 Maryland Hunting & Outdoor Expo AT THEIR OWN RISK.

Each participant will be required to sign a LIABILITY WAIVER, No Exceptions!

During registration each participant will be designated by Class.  A shooter's Class will determine what shooting stake they must shoot from.

All targets will be placed at unknown distances.  The use of rangefinders is strictly prohibited and anyone caught cheating will be disqualified from Prizes and Awards, No Exceptions!

There will be 5 shooting stations.  Up to 4 shooters can shoot at each shooting station.

Shooters will be signalled when the range is "HOT" and shooting may commence!  Likewise a whistle will sound when the participants MUST stop their shooting sequence and the "ALL CLEAR" will be given.  ANYONE who continues to shoot after the whistle has sounded will be disqualified and asked to leave the event, No Exceptions!  Note:  A whistle may sound at anytime to stop the shooting due to unforseen saftey reasons!  If this happens the event will continue when the saftey concern is resolved.

Range officers will be on hand at all times during the event.

Scoring

The course will be a 20 target 3-D course featuring a mix of McKenzie and Rinehart targets.

Scoring judges will be on hand to perform the actual scoring for each round.

Scoring will be based on arrows hitting and remaining in the target.  The standard 10 - 8 - 5 score system will be used.  The inner 12 ring will be counted as an X and used as a tie-breaker in the event of a tie.  Not all targets will have a 12 ring.  A 0 (zero) will be scored for missed shots.  Good Luck!
